My name is Kurt Rogers II and I am a street photographer based out of Atlantic Beach, FL. My professional trade is slinging drinks at a local Irish pub, which I have been doing for 11 years now. When I am not bartending you can find me walking the streets with my camera in hand looking for THAT moment.
I was recently showcased at Gallery 725 in Atlantic Beach as one of their featured artists for their show From the Streets to the Beach, which ran from September 15th-October 17th. My work was most recently showcased online in Oyster Magazine.
I have always been attracted to photography for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until about 6 years ago that I bought my first DSLR and went out into the world and started shooting. After years of shooting everything and anything I finally found my niche. About six months ago I came across a Street Photography blog and was blown away. Since then I have been gobbling up all info related to that field. There is something magical about shooting on the street. It is quite a challenge. Things move very fast and you have to learn how to predict the movement of people. For me it’s life at 1/125th of a second and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
